Integration Steps

Legato recommends that vendors take the following steps to integrate with the DMC:

1. Create a Legato vendor account if needed and accept publisher invitation.
2. Select the music pieces to list for sale and export the music metadata; import this metadata into the existing commerce system.
3. Add preview links to music listings.
4. Ensure that a Legato user record is created for all end-users.
5. Before a user is allowed to add music to their shopping cart, check the user's geographic location to make sure the music can be sold to the user.
6. After a successful payment, generate a Legato order record and authorize prints for the user.
7. Display link(s) to open the interactive sheet music viewer so users may print purchased music.
